As an ADI, I know what instructors need. I built these apps to help me do a better job. I hope they will help you as much as they helped me.
My original Learn to Drive, Road Board and Road Pad apps have been used by ADIs and PDIs across the UK and beyond. These new versions are rewritten from the ground up, and they work on your phone as well as your tablet.
And they're finally available on Android too!
Frequently asked questions
We've been waiting… What took you so long?
A multitude of technical complexities and the prioritisation of family and health over work. It's taken a few years to get things back on track, and I apologise for that. The new apps have been re-written from the ground up in a different programming language to allow for cross-platform compatibility. The images are the same, but not a single line of the original code remains in the new versions.
Are you going to update your old apps?
No. These are gradually being rendered obsolete by Apple's never-ending system updates. I wanted to get these new versions made before the old ones completely disappear.
Why subscription? Your old apps only required a one-off payment.
Yes, those were the good old days 😁 Something I learned the hard way: as apps age, they require ongoing work — while sales steadily decline. This makes the business model unsustainable. When I first realised this, I resisted going subscription-only because I didn't want to inflict it on my customers. When I realised I was just delaying the inevitable, that's when I got things properly moving forward again.
What about Road Pad and Road Board?
Road Pad and Road Board have now been replaced by the new app Roads. The old apps have been retired as they are obsolete and I don't want people to pay for an app that is no longer supported and will not continue working indefinitely.
How can I import my saved files from Road Board to Roads?

What about Routes and DL25 — Mock Test?
It's on my to do list to revisit these apps and see if I can bring them more up-to-date.
Will my subscription work across iOS and Android?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to make the same subscription work across the two different platforms.
